Privacy Policy

How Louis Lucas Publishing Limited collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use this website.

Last updated: 31 October 2026

Who we are

Louis Lucas Publishing Limited (“we”, “us”) is a creative digital marketing agency. We run this website and decide how the personal information described below is used. This policy is written to follow the principles of the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

You can reach us at contact@lolupub.com.ng or lolupub@gmail.com, or on WhatsApp at +234 913 330 1793.

Information we collect

  • Contact form: your full name, business email, current website address (optional), the service you need most, and the message you write about your brand and goals.
  • Newsletter sign-up: your email address and the page where you signed up.
  • Messages to us: if you contact us on WhatsApp, email or social media, we receive what you send and your contact details on that platform.
  • Chat assistant: the automated assistant on this site answers from our website content inside your browser. We do not store the questions you type into it. If you tap the WhatsApp button, the conversation continues in WhatsApp.
  • Technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server information, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the date and time, to deliver and secure the site.
  • Analytics and advertising data (only if you accept cookies): information about how you use the site, such as pages viewed, your device and browser, and approximate location, collected through the tools described under “Cookies”.
  • Your cookie choice: we save whether you accepted or declined in your browser’s local storage so that we do not ask you again.

How we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiry and to prepare quotes or proposals.
  • To deliver the services you ask us for.
  • To send our newsletter and updates, only if you subscribe.
  • To understand how our website and adverts perform, if you accept cookies.
  • To keep the website secure and working properly.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

Why we are allowed to use it

We rely on your consent (for example when you subscribe or submit a form), on taking steps you ask for before working together, on our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure, and on legal obligations where they apply. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers who help us run the website and our business, and only as needed:

  • Netlify hosts this website and receives the contact and newsletter form submissions on our behalf.
  • Analytics and advertising providers receive measurement data only if you accept cookies.
  • Google Fonts supplies the fonts used on the site. Your browser requests them directly, so Google receives your IP address.
  • WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook are used when you choose to contact us or follow us there. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave our site.
  • Email and mailing tools that we use to reply to you and to send the newsletter.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They help a site work properly, remember your preferences and show the site owner how the site is being used.

This website uses cookies to analyse website traffic, understand how visitors use the site and measure how our marketing performs. We only use them with your consent. When you first visit, you can accept or decline. If you decline, we do not use cookies for these purposes.

You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work. Some cookies are set by third-party services, and those services have their own privacy policies. Our separate promotional landing page asks for your cookie choice in the same way.

Links to other websites and affiliate links

Our pages link to other websites, including Selar, where our AI Web Design Masterclass for Africans is sold. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Some links on our blog are affiliate links. If you sign up through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Transfers outside Nigeria

Some of our providers, such as Netlify and Google, may process information in other countries. When that happens we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards for your information.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to respond to you and to keep our business records. We keep your newsletter email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After that we delete or anonymise it within a reasonable time.

Keeping it safe

This website is served over HTTPS, and we limit access to the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you have the right to:

  • be told how your information is used;
  • ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it, including for direct marketing;
  • ask for your information in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time.

To use any of these rights, email contact@lolupub.com.ng. We will respond within a reasonable time and within the period the law requires. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any email we send. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Children

This website is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us their details, please contact us and we will delete them.
